- The biblical definition of son-ship is “those that are led by the Son of God”… we as humans, we have been deceived… most especially the children of God.
- Most of the times, we rely on the advice and help of men… this is not in anyway bad, if it is in line with God.
John 8 openly said “I do nothing, except what my Father in Heaven says”
- Most times we fail to go to God to ask for direction.
- If you are a son or daughter of God, you need to always ask God to lead us.
Old testament sayings:
- God said “you are going to Canaan, and they agreed neither of them knew where canaan was, but God said “I will lead you”
- We are running a race for eternal life, who knows the way? Only God’s direction can lead us.
- We are troubled? Why not go to God in prayer?
- We do not know how to Go about it? Go to God in prayer?
- God said my way is not your way… Jehoshaphat was threatened and when he realised that the fight is not his… he went to God in prayer and asked him how to go about it. Jehoshaphat’s triumph proved that those that are led by God are the Children of God.
- Let us look at David’s example…. David never went to war without asking God first.
- Memory verse to take home: Psalm 85:8 “I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace to his people and unto his saints, but let them not turn again to Folly”
