Convenient Christianity is a part time Christian, a person who is neutral in the fold.
Why is this modern method of Christianity a problem?

- What makes it a silent killer, it makes the hymns we sing a lie, an example is inn hymn 230- the chorus says
What are the signs?
- Inconsistency in discipline, many view worship service as an activity, some see it as a medium of entertainment.
- Selective obedience, many only evangelise when the church schedules it
- Absence of spiritual hunger.
- Resistance to correction, we feel we cannot be corrected.
This is not a permanent solution… the way forward is:
- Examine ourselves-most times we only examine ourselves when a person passes. 2 cor 13: 5 encourages us to examine our elves
- Repent genuinely and come back to God, oce you have identified the area, turn away from them.
- Renew your commitment to Jesus Christ, Don’t be in the middle!
- Restore consistency in spiritual discipline- be intentional
- Embrace accountability and fellowship – you can’t do it alone, have a person who you see as a mentor.
- Pursue good works intentionally- faith must be expressed through actions
- Develop a heart of sacrifice over comfort- choose obedience even when it is costly.
Jesus did not die for part of our lives, he did not shed his blood for your spare time, he called you for total surrender, not for a life of comfort. We need to stop living half way- A half committed Christian is in danger of fully loosing eternity.
