Ruling your spirit means controlling your anger, words, and reactions—without these walls, you're vulnerable to temptation, wrong decisions, and spiritual defeat. Build strong walls through prayer, God's Word, obedience, and daily self-discipline. The strongest person isn't the one who conquers others, but the one who conquers himself.

1. What does it mean to rule your own spirit?

  •  Ruling our spirits simply means:
  • Controlling your anger.
  • Controlling your words.
  • Controlling your minds and reactions.

We need to allow the word of God to direct us.

2. The danger of a life without walls.

  •  A person without self control becomes vulnerable to:
  • Temptation.
  • Wrong decisions.
  • Broken relationships with people.
  • They’ll be spiritually defeated.

3. Building strong walls.

  • Solutions:
  • Prayers.
  • Studying God’s words -  how much of God’s words do we understand? Are we practicing it?
  • Obedience to God’s words.
  • Daily self discipline.

4. Practical applications

  • Speech – Thinking before speaking, we need to control our anger.
  • Avoid pride and impulse actions.
  • Patience and dignity.
  • We need to guard our thought.
